La Grande Summer Film Project!
The deadline for participation in the 2nd annual La Grande Summer Film Project is coming up. Participates should sign up online by Friday, August 14th. On wednesday, August 19th, the participants will receive their final criteria and have 48 hours to shoot and edit a 4 - 7 minute film.
The films will be screened at the Mt. Emily Ale House in La Grande on Friday August 21st at 10:30 pm. Screenings will continue on a loop throughout the open hours of the Ale House on Saturday August 22nd. Please plan to attend the screening and vote for your favorite film.

Eastern Oregon Film Festival
First annual independent film and music festival in La Grande, OR, August 28-29, 2009.
EOFF will be an intimate, two-day event at the Mt. Emily Ale House located at 1202 Adams Ave. in La Grande. EOFF has received films from local, regional, and nationally recognized filmmakers.
The festival will include blocks of short films, live music, and also screen two independent feature films: Team Picture by Kentucker Audley and Rip: A Remix Manifesto by Brett Gaylor. Both films are internationally recognized titles that have received much praise. EOFF aims to promote independent cinema that might otherwise go unseen.

La Grande Community Classic: Disc Golf Tourney
Some of the gallery's core community are also avid disc golfers. So Satellite has sponsored the first "La Grande Community Classic: Disc Golf Tournament." 36 holes with 9 new pins on Sunday August 23rd at the EOU frisbee golf course.
There will be 4 divisions and cash and swag prizes for the winners. $10 pre-registration , $15 day-off.
